Connecting to the BAi BA-440 DualBeam Barcode Reader

Get the USB to UART Bridge Driver

BAi Readers can accept input commands from computers via USB cable. In order to communicate you will first need to install the appropriate USB to UART Bridge drivers. Find the correct file for your operating system at Silabs Website.

After downloading the correct driver your computer, you will want to locate it on your computer and install the driver.

Install a Terminal Application as needed.

With the driver installed you can access the BAi Reader via USB from any terminal application such as TeraTerm Pro or PuTTY. We recommend TeraTerm Pro which is free and open source; it may be downloaded from OSDN TeraTerm Project.
